Terms of use
The terms for using PlushPick: general buying help, not professional advice, product facts that change at the retailer, and Texas governing law.
Last updated 3 September 2026. PlushPick, at plushpick.com, is written and run by Cal Hewitt. Using the site means you accept the terms set out below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
What the site is
PlushPick is a buying help publication about sofas. Everything here is general information written to help you make your own decision. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone qualified to look at your particular situation, your home or your health. Nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind between you and the operator.
No products are sold on the site. There are no accounts, no logins and no payments. Every purchase you make happens on a retailer's own site, under that retailer's terms.
Product facts, prices and availability
Product details on the site come from what the manufacturer or the retailer has published on their own pages: dimensions, materials, care instructions, delivery method, return windows and warranty terms. Those pages change. A specification can be revised, a model can be discontinued, a cover option can vanish, and a price or a delivery charge can move at any time.
Any figure mentioned here reflects what a published page said at the time of writing. The retailer's current page is always the authority. Check the details, the price and the return policy on that page before you buy.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided as they are, with all faults, and without warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. There is no promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of anything harmful, and no promise about what a product will do for you.
Care is taken to keep the site accurate and current, but some information may differ from what you find on a manufacturer's or retailer's site, and mistakes are possible.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cal Hewitt is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or expected savings, arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on anything published here. That includes a purchase you make from a retailer after reading something on this site.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Links to other sites
The site links to retailers, manufacturers and other publishers. Those sites are run by other people. PlushPick does not control them, is not responsible for their content, their products, their prices or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the far side of it. When you follow a link, the terms and the privacy policy of that site apply.
Some of those links are affiliate links. The affiliate disclosure explains how that works.
The writing on the site
The words, structure, images and design created for PlushPick belong to Cal Hewitt and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read the site, print a page for your own use, and quote a short passage with credit and a link back. Republishing a guide or an article in whole or in substantial part, or reusing the site's content to train or populate another product, requires permission first.
Product names, brand names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify what is being discussed.
Using the site fairly
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, break into any part of it, or scrape it in a way that puts a burden on it. Please do not use anything from the site in a way that breaks the law or misleads other people.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. When they are, the date at the top changes, and the version published here is the one that applies.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from the site are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, in the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
How to reach the operator
Questions about these terms go through the contact form, which is the only contact route for the site.
